  • I’ve got a Cherry Keeper that I like but isn’t perfect for me. One thing I like about it is that it has a pretty big and easy urethral opening to line up and pee through. I like clean peeing. I like being able to use a urinal. It also has a “headlock” which is an ‘anti pull-out’ feature. It wouldn’t actually prevent me from pulling out but it helps keep the cage close to my body, which I like - I don’t like it hanging down or being pushed away due to boner.

The coarseness of the plastic ring (I bought the cheaper plastic and haven’t sanded it down with anything other than repeated use) is probably the thing I like least. It rubs. It requires more lubing and readjusting than I’d prefer. I can’t wear it long-term outside the house bc of the need to re-lube and readjust. Kink3d cages look like softer plastic. I’d like to try them and some relatively lightweight metal.

The shape and size of the ring and cage could perhaps be more optimal. I’m a grower, versus a shower, and I tend to pick smaller versus bigger cages. (As I write this I’m getting turned on by the thought of my dick looking really small in a larger clear plastic cage.) The smaller cages look cuter and fit better under clothes, but I might need something a little larger for longer-term wear.

Finally, my most engineering comment. Keep it simple. Avoid unnecessary ridges where skin will migrate into and cause edema (swelling) and discomfort. The first cage I bought (Mancage, I think it was called) had ridges on the ring itself, which led to the issues I just described. What a design designed by someone who’s never worn a cage :P

    Hope that helps :)

  • I have similar reasons for non-transitioning: generally real-life considerations versus internal. I’m also about to undertake a career change, have low social support, am not the most socially fluent, am concerned about growing transphobia, don’t want the daily hassles (e.g., public change rooms).

I feel pretty confident that non-transition is the best choice for me right now, but it isn’t by a huge margin - it’s like a 60-40 vote versus 90-10 one.

My strategy for now is to try to to thread the needle between embracing feminine things that make me good and being able to pass as cis-enough. I’m fortunate to have a full head of hair, which I’ve grown out, and I’m working on a nice neat top bun. I love having long hair (most of the time :P)
